What You Are Buying

Our incontinence products are Class I medical devices within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2017/745. They bear the CE marking, and the packaging instructions state the size, absorbency capacity, and precautions for use. **These packaging instructions are authoritative**, not this web page or any product information sheet.

Underpads and booster pads follow the same principle: they are hygiene and protective products, designed to absorb fluid and keep the skin dry.

What They Are Not

A pad absorbs. It does not cure anything. It does not treat incontinence, does not slow its progression, and has no effect on any of its underlying causes. Wearing an appropriate pad improves comfort, protects the skin, and assists with daily living—it does not replace a medical evaluation, and being well-protected does not mean the underlying issue is resolved.

We make no therapeutic claims whatsoever, and if you encounter any such claims made about our products elsewhere, they do not originate from us.

This Website Does Not Constitute Medical Advice

All content available on this website—guides, articles, absorbency calculators, selection assistants, and size comparisons—is provided for general information purposes only. It constitutes neither a diagnosis, nor a prescription, nor personalised medical advice. We have no knowledge of your state of health, your medical treatments, or your skin condition.

Never delay seeking medical advice because of something you have read on this website, and do not discontinue any current medical treatment based on information found on a web page—including ours.

Choosing an Incontinence Product

Our absorbency ratings are measured under laboratory conditions using a standardised testing method. They are intended solely to compare our products with one another. They do not indicate how long a product will last for you: that depends on your anatomy, activity level, fluid intake, medication, and the severity and type of leaks.

If you are unsure, consult a healthcare professional—such as your general practitioner, a nurse, a pharmacist, a midwife, or a continence advisory service. In institutional or care settings, this assessment is the responsibility of the healthcare team.

When to Seek Immediate Medical Attention

Certain signs go beyond selecting a suitable incontinence product. Consult a healthcare professional promptly if you experience:

  • blood in the urine or stool;
  • pain, a burning sensation when urinating, or fever;
  • a sudden worsening of leaks, or urinary incontinence that appears abruptly;
  • an inability to urinate, or a feeling that the bladder never empties completely;
  • damaged skin: persistent redness, open sores, weeping, or an unusual odour;
  • a reaction resembling an allergy—itching, rash, or swelling.

In an emergency, dial your local emergency services immediately. We are not a medical service and cannot assist you in emergency situations.

Proper Use

  • Single use only. Incontinence pads must not be washed, reused, or cut.
  • Change regularly, even if the pad is not fully saturated: prolonged skin contact

causes irritation, not merely the volume of liquid absorbed.

  • Do not flush down the toilet. Dispose of with household waste in accordance with

local waste separation rules.

  • Do not use a pad on broken skin, an open wound, or a surgical site without the

prior advice of a healthcare professional.

  • Do not combine two absorbent products on top of one another: this does not double

absorbency and prevents the product from functioning as designed.

  • Store in a cool, dry place away from heat and moisture, keep in the original packaging,

and observe the expiration date printed on the packaging.

If Something Goes Wrong

Any medical device that causes an issue must be reported—this is how defects are identified and investigated.

Please email us at sk@nateen.com indicating the product reference, the batch number printed on the packaging, and a description of what occurred. We record every report and escalate matters to the manufacturer as appropriate.

You also have the right, independently of us, to report any serious incident directly to the competent medical device authority in your country. This is your statutory right; you do not need to inform us, and we cannot object to your doing so.

Children and Infants

The products sold on this online shop are intended for adults and adolescents. For a child, consult a paediatrician: incontinence in children has different underlying causes and requires different management than in adults.

Keep all packaging out of the reach of young children—plastic wrapping poses a risk of suffocation.
